Replacing the SIM card in a Suga Blu (V1)
If the baton does not communicate, the most common cause is a SIM card that no longer works.
Charge the baton overnight first. Wait until no lights are flashing before opening it.
- Open the baton. The casing is designed to be replaced once opened. Without a new casing, open it carefully: squeeze near the front joint with plumbing pliers and turn gently to break the glue.
- Take out the board. Note its orientation and do not snag the cables.
- Replace the SIM. Remove the glue. Do not lift the SIM; slide it out, and slide the new one in.
- Refit the board along its rails, LED towards the keying.
- Set the APN if the network needs it. Send the unit the setup SMS (format on file with support), then wake the unit by clocking a point.
- Test. On the server, open the Signals report for the serial number, or refresh your profile, to see the unit report in.
- Seal the casing with the supplied sealer. Super glue works in a pinch; self-amalgamating rubber tape keeps a reused casing sealed temporarily.
