Stationary Guard
Current
Also known as: Stationary Guard Unit, Wifilock
Fixed unit for a guard post: proves the guard is present and awake, clocks guards in and out, and can open gates and doors. A panic button is an optional extra.
What it does
The Stationary Guard is for the guard who stays at one post, such as a gate or a reception desk.
- Presence: during a shift the unit asks the guard to acknowledge at set intervals, with a tune and a flashing light. The guard answers by touching an ID point or key tag to the unit, or by pressing a paired remote. A missed acknowledgement is logged and can raise an alert, so a guard who has fallen asleep or left the post is noticed.
- On request: the control room can ask for an acknowledgement at any moment.
- Clock in and out: guards go on and off duty at the unit.
- Panic: a panic button that raises an alarm in the control room is an optional extra.
- Site alerts: the unit can show and sound alerts from the site's shift, for example when a patrol is due.
- Gates and doors: its relay outputs can drive a gate or lock and its inputs read door sensors. The control room can open a gate from the screen. Gate and lock control is custom made for the gate or locks it connects to, and the unit is wired in our factory to suit. Ask us about your gate or lock. This is the work the earlier Wifilock did.
It reports to Tagtough Online, which has a Stationary Guard report showing how each site's acknowledgements went.
