Tagtough Online

What it does

• Patrols: every clocking from a baton, phone, QR sticker, NFC tag or GPS position, time-stamped and credited to the guard.
• Shifts: set when and how often each site is patrolled. A missed, late or rushed round raises an alert straight away.
• Live eOB: the electronic occurrence book. Alarms, patrols and incidents arrive as they happen; the operator acknowledges each one with a note.
• Dashboard and unit health: every site at a glance, and a warning when a unit goes quiet or its battery runs low.
• Reports: about twenty, including detailed clocking, overview, guard evaluation, in/out timesheet, movement and health check. Any of them can be emailed as a PDF on a schedule.
• Alerts: by email, Telegram, or posted to your own system.
• Tracking: a live map with trails and a heatmap. Positions come from phones running the Beago app; a dedicated tracker is in development.
• For security companies: one login for all clients, each client sees only their own sites, with roles for managers, supervisors, operators and guards and a full audit trail.

It runs in a web browser at online.tagtough.co.za. There is nothing to install.

Connecting your own system

Tagtough Online can post alerts to another system, and it has an API. The API documentation is not published: it is available on request from support.

Let an AI agent watch your guards

The API is built for AI agents as well as for ordinary software. You give an agent, or any monitoring tool, a key to your account, and it can:

• read the status of your sites and units, and the clockings as they come in;
• read the occurrence book and write entries to it;
• send a message to a guard;
• help set up a new site: create sites and teams, create QR points, name newly clocked points and link units to guards.

So an agent can keep an eye on the patrols through the night, ask a guard why a round was missed, and give you a summary in the morning.

A key never sees or does more than the account it was made for. It can be narrowed further to one group of sites, to reading only, and to an expiry date, and it can be revoked at any moment. Ask support for a key and the documentation.
